Plan for devleopment of high-performance, high-strength differential
#81
I thought the '04 housing is supposed to be "20% stronger, and 40% more rigid". I don't know what that actually means. Anyway, the weakest part of the rear end seems to be the ring and pinion.

The 04 diff carrier assembly (the interior part that actually holds the diff gears and such, is indeed a different part number than pre 04.

I am having Ganley Honda build me a rearend with the comptech housing, (Thermal Treated), KAAZ LSD, all new bearings and seal, with the 4.57s. I think that should be enough for at least 350 rwhp.

I'm in on this buy.................But, is it going to be better than the Comptech setup? I was planning on getting Comptech's reinforced diff because I have FI and the 4.57's. But if this is gaurenteed to be better than theirs then I am in.
