Pistons 1, 2, 4 are in the oil pan.
Well I probably should have taken the advice from many people and not have installed the NOS but that is the past.. what can I do now? It sheared the 3 pistons from the first ring luns down. Bummer.
Since I have the engine out, I decided to go FI. Probably Comptech. I have to order new pistons this week from JE. Should I get lower compression pistons for the S? Will this help performance out at all? will I be able to run a smaller pulley?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Derrick

yea, if you're going to being putting new pistons in anyway.... I'd go with lower compression. IF you're going to go low compression, I would NOT go with the Comptech. Go with the ultimate performance kit or the speedcraft. The speedcraft is less of an unknown, but the ultimate performance one looks VERY well engineered. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...50&pagenumber=1
These will be easier to run more boost, which, if you built your engine, I see no reason why you couldn't run an easy 12 psi, vs the 7 you should be running with pump gas/stock compression.

Since your pistons are cooked why not something like this ?
2.3 Stroker Kit
From cjb's site. Also Vortech superchargers.
Speedcraft, Stage6, etc if you are willing to put in the work.

yea, I really wanna know what went wrong to cause this. A correctly set up, correctly functioning nitrous oxide system doesn't blow motors. Either overrev, or partial load activation, or wrong spark plugs, or low octance, etc. Many of these can cause detonation. What went wrong with yours?

Details in short ... The Solenoid had broke; leaving the valve slightly open (did not know this) I pulled into my garage with the bottle still on, turned the car off for 1/2 hour. Effectively leaking 2 ~ 3 lbs of Nos into the head. The car would not start so i pumped the gas a little and Booom. I had the Kit for 6 months running 75 shot. No other problems, had purchased cooler plugs also?

id have the block resleeved and drop the compression. With lower compression you will be able to safley run more boost, but without FI the car will be slower with lower compression.
