Default is this piston slap?

i heard a knocking/tapping sound comming from the engine

how bad does this look?

cylinders 1 and 4 look scored. that's not good. you'd need a new block if they are scored. or need to re-sleeve them.

Your number 4 cylinder is fried.

There was a service recall involving a lot of cars but your sig does not say what Model Year you own. In short the #4 spark plug was not torqued properly at the plant resulting in a lot of damage similar to this.

I thought that its because of the oil jets were too small, and they upgraded to bigger ones in '02?

The oil jet banjo bolts changed, not the jet.

Did you run the engine low on oil? Cylinder scuffing will also occur with improper oiling.

Regardless of how it happened, it's new motor time now.

thats what I meant the oil banjo bolts. whats the difference? 80k and low on oil ?

Original bolts have 2 holes, the new ones use 4.
Many S2k's consume oil quite regularly, it's more common than not. It's also recommended to check the oil at every fuel stop.

The banjo bolt issue only applies to a certain number of cars destined to Europe/Oceania.....read the banjo bolt service bulletin.
