Thank you. I've noticed the exact same... OP, I wouldn't worry about it. I would worry about the machine work, however; these engines are hard to machine/rebuild properly by anyone, period.

Agreed piston slap in some level is there on all of them but when it becomes a noise full time before and after warm up I would start to worry And look further into it. I have to say when I dropped the pan I thought I was gonna see a lot worse things the way this sounded. I will post a video of it running before and after when I get this rebuilt. All of my specs were on besides the Pistons and sleeves on 1&2. I have a notable machine shop honing the frm sleeve .25 over he has done many f20c motors. Hopefully I have everything lined up for a proper build I will keep you guys informed. Once again thanks for the help.

Just finished her up, not sure how to post the video on the forum but she's purring like a kitten. It feels like a completely different car with this ap2 trans and .25 over Pistons wow!

Let me know if it's not working. Total cost was around 1500. But that is including the ap2 upgraded bolts and valve spring retainers. I painted the valve cover due to bad paint but it is the same motor. Let me know what you guys think.

Wow, that sounded quite awful, very much like rod knock.
