Piston C/R AP1 vs. AP2
Since the stroke is shorter in the AP1 S2000 than the AP2, if you put the AP1 pistons in an AP2 block, will your compression go up? I'm just wondering because comming from the swapped civic world i know that putting civic type r pistons in a GSR will increase your C/R significantly, i was just thinking that it would do the same in our car since the AP1 piston gives the same C/R in a shorter stroke. I'm not saying that we would get like 13:1 Compression but would it go up at all?
Thanks,
Clint

It depends on the height and shape of the piston crown. Given the fact that it's an interference engine with tight clearances, I doubt the piston design varies much between the two models, but I haven't personally seen an AP2 short block in pieces.
If you want to know for sure, get both pistons and calculate the volume of the piston dish on each.
