Picture diagnostics - motor mounts, trans mounts, shifter boot gasket
Hi all,
Does anything look off with my motor or transmission mounts? Below are a couple picture albums of each. The car is a MY02 with 100k miles, so it gets me wondering when they should be replaced. I don't notice excessive rattling or shaking, but for all I know they've been broken since I got the car 5 years ago.
Motor mounts
Transmission mounts
As a bonus, while I was under the car I noticed a collection of sprayed grease near the driveshaft/transmission coupling. I just did the shifter grease DIY a few days ago, and I put a whole tub of urea grease in there. Since the source of the grease seems to be the shifter boot gasket area, it has me wondering if I put too much in there. I wouldn't think that the grease would be under any pressure, but I don't know. Should I be replacing the boot gasket?
Shifter boot leak
Thanks!

Motor mounts look like they're cracked, if they're really bad you should be able to lift the engine. Tranny mounts are good, leave those be. The shifter barely needs any grease, hell I thing re-greasing it is almost unnecessary. I would clean that up with some brake cleaner and see if it shows up again, then change the boot.
