Default Pics of "suspension spacers"?

I was told in the gallery thread (here near the bottom) that my car seemed a bit high and that it's possible that the dealer didn't take out the "suspension spacers". I've been driving the car since August.

I tried searching around the forums for any related info, but came up short. Does anyone have any pictures or advice on how I can tell if these spacers are still in my springs?

Thanks xviper. Sounds like the car would be extremely dangerous to drive if it had the spacers in and I've had the car at a few auto-cross events already. Not sure why my car would seem higher than others so I'll jack the car up and have a look anyway.

There have been instances of owners driving around with these spacers for months. It becomes dangerous if encountering bumps on a curve.
You shouldn't have to jack up the car to see them. Also, check the ride height with a ruler and compare to another S. Do you have the stock rims and tires?

Right now I'm riding on stock 2001 S2k wheels and winter tires (2001 stock sizes). So I don't know if I can compare the ride height without having the stock rims/tires on. I also don't really have another car to compare with (not many 04/05 s2k's in Winnipeg). But I'll take a peek in the wheel wells today and see if I can see any spacers in there and report back.

The verdict is in. See for yourself. Keep in mind, I have 5000 kms on the car and have done 3 auto-cross events.

Those are just the front 2. I would have to jack up the rear to see the rear 2. Any advice on how I should proceed and what angle I should approach the dealer with? I am very very angry right now.

Kick ass and take names!!!!!

They must remove them, and would be wise to offer you some complimentary service (just don't let them wash it = swirls).

Good luck

I would suggest you put it in a letter that you hand to the general manager of the dealer. Stress that this has been a dangerous situation and that you could have been killed due to their inadequate PDI prior to delivery.
First and foremost, these need to be removed ASAP. Whether you have them do it (best course of action) or you do it is up to you.
See what they are willing to give you as compensation.

Of course this has been going on since the car was introduced and I have not seen anyone get anything but words back from Honda, at least from AHM. I took delivery on October 1999 and asked for the spacers in hand to make sure they were removed.. but I failed to count them, not catching that four were left in. I found and removed them after 2K miles, but complaints to the dealer as well as calls and letters to AHM got me nothing but a phone call to tell me not to worry about it.

WOW, bet it's going to be a whole new car at the next auto-cross! Found some on a car out here, they had been in so long they had almost worn out and fallen off on their own.
