I'd say check the differential mounts. She doesn't sound like she knows how to heel and toe.
What he said.
This.

Hope you make it home ok.

Was that the red one out of Kokomo? It showed up the day I picked up a Silverstone one out of austin. I wish it had shown up a bit earlier and it would have saved me a long drive from Texas to indianapolis.

Enjoy it... it looked like a beautiful car of it was the same one.

You are right.. I stopped by Oklahoma City and met a s2ki member (philipxhuff) who is a mechanic and he mentioned that it was mostly likely a bad rebalance.

Took it to another tire shop on the way home and they said because the tires were roughly 8 years old and werent in too great of a condition, even with a rebalance it wouldnt do too much to help with the vibration. They recommended I just pick up new tires when I get home but that I should be able to make it home just fine.

Anywho.. everything makes sense. 55 yr old lady probably wouldn't go crazy dumping the clutch.

That said, just made it back to Los Angeles. Thank goodness no tickets!
First thing Monday is to get new tires and get all the fluids changed!

Thanks everyone!

Thanks!

Yup.. thats the one! Glad to be home safe... Its a very clean car for being 12 years old. All vins matched. Compression test came out great.
She had all the records since she owned it.

Aside from the long trek home, i think it was worth it.

I hope you didn't take advantage of the "old lady" from whom you bought the car.

Even though she might have been looking old and decrepit, she was probably just a 21 year old in a 55 year old body.

Edit: (For me 55 is jail bait.)
