I know this is not the forum for it but since you commented so will I. This car (while entertaining) has been the most unreliable vehicle I have ever owned. Of the thirty or so cars I have had, none have had this many failures or spent as much time in the shop.
My car has had two clutches, two transmissions, a differential, new front crossmember, a new top, a new dashboard cover, new seatbelt retractors, new window motor, new taillights, repaired brakes, leaking shock, leaking A/C unit, and numerous other issues caused by poor quality dealership service. Most (but not al) was covered under warranty but I NEVER want to burn so much time again working issues that should not be mine.
I still have this car after seven years for various reasons, but reliability and quality are not anything I would brag about.
BTW, all of my GM and Ford products were flawless in comparison.

well you got a lemon. I owned a ford before and EVERYTHING on the car broke, except for the YAMAHA supplied engine. shocks, ac, brakes, tranny, windows, dash, electronics, bushings, bars, bearings, stops, whistles, fents, crubs, you name it, it broke.

I had a Taurus. The only unreliable part on the one I had was the transmission and it was a Mazda unit.

What's the big deal - it's a free country; if you are unhappy with your S2000 sell it! No big deal to most, if not all, of us here on this board. Then you can buy whatever you want, go to that chat board and dis S2000's all day long - buy an EVO or WRX or whatever...

Why is everyonw saying the noise will come back. It was just some of the clutch disks before 02 that had issues. Any clutch done now will be the newer disk as long as the dealer doesnt have a disk sitting around from 01, the noise wont come back.
And yes ACT uses OEM disk. I did a ACT pressure plate and bought the disk off Honda.
