Amazing oil, some of the best 10w30 you can get according to BobIsTheOilGuy. I burn less of it than M1, and little less than with Castrol Syntec. Highly recommended and one of the "true" synthetics.

Here's a rebate buddy -- Pennzoil Platinum $10-per-5qt rebate:
http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...298595177_.pdf

I bought off Amazon ($22.47/5qt):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And maxed out my rebate -- buy 5 at $22.47/each = $112.35 - $48 rebate (max discount) == $64.35 for 25 quarts!!!

I use it too. Still burns oil tho. I have 160k. I've tried, m1,amsoil,castrol edge, castrol titanium,castrol conventional,royal purple. I burn a quart every 1000 miles. But from what I've read everywhere, definitely a good oil. I run it on all my cars.

awesome, just ordered the same amount. Would you still recommend the same 3000 miles interval with this?

3,000 mile OCI with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum? Are you nuts!? Why don't you light $20 bills to keep yourself warm during the winter. You can EASILY go 7,000 mile OCI on that oil, only do 3,750 if you do severe service. If you're just putting around town and doing the occasional HPDE, you can go 7,000 miles without a care in the world. If you're going to exclusively track your car with slicks and big aero you're going to run into problems eventually, unless you spend money on a dry sump kit.

Even M1 synth will get you 5k-7.5k miles easily -- do an Blackstone test and stop wasting your money thereafter.

With our cars, the biggest concern with long OCI's is forgetting to check the oil level, especially if you have an AP1 that burns...

If you go down and read some other sections he does a breakdown on a few more. As far as Mobil 1 goes (and I have been using M1 0W-30) the 5W-30 API SN has the "incredible" wear characteristics out of the box. Much better than 0W-30 which is "good". Think I will switch next time.
