Pennzoil 80w-90? And trani fluid issue
So i went down to honda the other day to get some fluids and they gave me 4 liters of Honda MTF (scratches head). It only took a 1.5 liters. That has me wondering if the 946ml of pennzoil 80w-90 is any good for the diff. This id the product they gave me.

Anyone have any experiance with this product? I see alot of mention of amsoil and le607 but none of this product.

So when I tried driving after the trani fluid change the gears are kinda clucky into second and worse on third. Ive never experianced worse shifting after changing the fluid. Maybe the previous owner was using a synthetic and i messed up using the honda mtf. Is it true that once you use sythetic yiu can't go back?

You filled the transmission with the car level and filled it until it overflowed (out of the filler hole) right?
Oil level should be ok then.
Amout of oil for the diff looks right, just about a liter (and it doesnt hurt to put a little extra in, same goes for the transmission IMO)
And the Pennzoil oil is GL-5 and the "right" weight so that should not be a problem. (Honda manual states SAE 90 GL-5)
I don't know about the "you can never go back to dino" statement.
How did the oil look / smelled that came out of your transmission?

The car was level and the fluid that came out of the trani was allmost clear and smelled fine. I just changed it because I dont know if it has been done before so better safe than sorry

What you did sounds right, except I usually fit closer to 1.8 quarts of oil in the transmission. I've been very happy with Honda MTF in both of the S2000s that I have owned (65k combined miles of use).

I've had the same exact issue with the transmission oil...after i changed it, for some reason gears started feeling wierd and still do...a bit of resistance it feels thats there all the time.
Even try some of the Motul fluids...my car's running on those, feels amazing!

Funny to see this thread today. Put GM Synchromesh FM in my car last night.
I've been filling the tranny oil with the car jacked up. Got a total of 1700ml in there 1500+200 overfill.
