Default PCV Valve?

I've developed this "chirping" noise that comes and goes, and when it comes it is usually at idle or relatively low rpms. I read a thread that said it might be the seals on my cai, but those have bee checked and re-checked. A friend said it is likely the PCV valve and I found prices for a new one (around $15) but when he went to show me exactly what I'd be replacing, neither of us could find it. I am pretty sure that 2 hoses coming from the valve cover are involved, but where is the valve? Is it internal? Is it even likely to be the cause of the noise? Hope that this is an easy question, thanks for the help. Anyone that could provide pictures would be greatly appreciated.

It's one furthest away from the front of the car. smaller diameter hose that goes into the intake manifold body, and PVC valve is on top to valve cover where hose is connected to. I hope this makes sense to you...

So is it seated in the valve cover on one side? If I pull that hose off, I should see the valve, which I can just pull out, right? Sorry to be such a dumbass, but thanks for the help. Any responses as to whether it is a likely culprit for my chirping sound?

Is this a new CAI?
Most CAI's have a small whine or chirp at idle and low RPM.......sometimes described as a whine. If it is a new install it is normal......but pursue the PCV valve if you wish.

I've had my AEM intake for well over a year, and I am more than accustomed to its 'normal' noise. In fact, I kinda like it. But this new noise is much louder, and seems to have just started within the past 2 months. Thanks for all the help. I might not be able to pinpoint the noise, but I should be able to locate that valve.

If it's not the normal CAI chirp, maybe the heat shield over the exhaust manifold is rattling?
