Default Patching Roof

Im sorry if this is the wrong spot to post this. But my roof got a L tear in it, about 3inch each direction. Can this be patched? How much does it usually cost? Is there one in Houston?

Did you use it to patch the outside or inside?

i tried the tearaid vinyl one, not great at all for me (i did it in the inside). the adhesive wasn't too grippy for me, i supposed it takes a lot more pressing force. i think the B was for vinyl, supposingly stuck better because of chemical structure but i think the A has a better general adhesive.

i even tried to do the iron on patch but the iron has to get pretty hot to activate the glue and you need to press quite firmly (tried it to patch a rip on my pants). i also don't have the courage to risk melting my vinyl top.

i was half joking but really i think black duct tape on the interior will match and people will not notice it and it should keep out the rain.

Thanks for the info, I want to get mines patch up for a couple of months. And maybe get a whole new top whenever I have the $ for it. I tried calling around in Houston for some professional vinyl repair, but they all seem to be close on Saturday.

I dont have the L shape tear just lil holes here and there...i just ended up using shoegoo since theyre strong and flexible when dry and used a fabric patch from underneath the softtop to keep in place...had a heavy rain here a few days ago and it didnt leak.
