Passenger window glass vibration - warm weather
Anyone had any problems with passenger window rattle when the window is in its highest position?
When i lower the window and raise it again so the glass presses once more against the roof seals the noise disappears for a few seconds then comes back! Happens a lot when driving on the motorway in warm weather. Never happens on drivers side.
when i press against the glass the rattle stops.
And its not the seatbelt buckle btw!
Any ideas guys??

Well Kingpin, let's get this out of the way - what are you doing driving with the top up in nice weather?????
Seriously, are the seal dry? Have you tried a vinyl treatment like 303?
Or....... is the noise mechanical coming from the door?

Each window has 2 guides that are mounted on the upper lip of the opening. Typically, if the window is operated in cold temps, one or more of these guides lifts up and falls inside the door space. You can sometimes hear it rattle if you hit just the right bump. Open the window and look down the inner edge near the top. You should see one near the front and another near the back. Check the good door to see what they look like and you'll know if you've got one missing on the bad side. If you're missing one, you'll need to take off the inner door panel and go find that guide and glue it back in place. The guide has a lip that clips into the edge of the door and a kind of fuzzy side that faces the glass. If it's a missing guide, you can pour a gallon of 303 on it and it won't fix a thing.
