Whew...well, after examining the pictures that Rick provided and the pictures I took of the engine bay, I have come to the conclusion that it is INDEED the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch, Part No.37250-PCX-A02

Do you guys agree?

It's ok, that part number is NOT on back order.

Sorry that it got so confusing guys, but thanks for helping me out...

For the hell of it I'll post a pic of what the car looks like now:

8 weeks later and only 1 vtec pressure switch away from being better than previous condition!

Random question: the car is still drivable, but what will not having this switch do to the engine?

I'm guessing it is still drivable but VTEC will not engage.

Good to know. I was worried that it would be drivable, and that b/c the vtec oil pressure switch is broken, that the engine wouldn't have that 'stop it's cold' mode kick in when you try to engage vtec after a cold start up and that it would potentially break something.

Ordered the part, will be fixed monday, hopefully getting retuned tuesday.

I have a few spares if you are intested.
i ordered one on hondaautomotiveparts.com and have not received it...

if it is indeed on national backorder...can i purchase a spare from you?

i overtorqued the screw on mine and the screw snapped inside...i used a spare screw to keep the switch in place...but i am going to replace it...

i would need the screw also.

let me know.

thanks.
