Parasitic drain problem - confusing results?

I'm not sure without seeing the wiring diagram but I'm pretty sure there is a pin that see's battery voltage in the OBD2 connector. If this device isn't built to stop working after the key is powered off, it's possible it stayed active and killed your battery.
