Default Painting plastic parts Suzuka Blue Metallic

My 06 Suzuka Blue Metallic S2K had scratches on the lower edge of the front bumper panel, under the grill area, pretty much all the way across (probably from a careless valet parking attendant). I ran into a team of on-the-spot auto body guys yesterday, and they offered to fix it up "perfectly", right away. I went for it, and they got it done in less than an hour. The sanding of the rough scratches was not that good, but I could forgive that if the paint matched well . . . but it doesn't !!!

They shot the whole lower 3" or so of the front bumper panel, and it came out a bit too turquoise or aqua colored, doesn't match the oem paint well at all - very obvious in sunlight. Worse, they apparently didn't shoot a clear coat over it, nor buff it out much, so it appears dull.

I'm thinking I'll call the guy and ask him to come back and redo it, matching the color better and doing a clear coat. But first I thought I'd get some opinions from this forum. (If there's a better forum for paint issues, please redirect me.)

I got this done for a bargain price (paid cash), but now it's looking like not such a good deal. Any hope here, other than paying a professional auto body shop megabucks to redo it right?

TIA

Bob

the only way you are going to get a good quality paint job done cheap is if you know someone who will hook you up

Were you approached by some Armenia guys offering you to do body work on the cheap? If so its a scam...and you will never get them to come back to repair it for you...and most likely cost more damage to repair from the body shop.
