P1456 Code stored Check engine light on
I was driving around when the check engine light came on. Pulled into a parking lot and found that the gas cap was loose. According to the manual, it can take a few drives before this check engine light goes away. Passed an advanced autoparts on the way home so I pulled the code and it was P1456, which according to the CEL thread is EVAP Emission Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank System).
I just got the car 2 weeks ago and I don't want anything to happen to the car. Is the code that I pulled only indicative of my loose gas cap and there shouldn't be anything else to worry about? Also, am I just not tightening it enough or could I have a faulty gas cap. Last week I smelled gas and when I checked the gas cap, it was loose then too but I caught it before the CEL came on. I tighten it to more than the 3 clicks that cap says.
Thanks in advance

After some more searching, it looks like I'm not crazy and there is a TSB because MY02's have this problem with the gas cap. I'm still looking for a little reassurance that the P1456 code is the same thing as what the TSB is for because the TSB lists P1457. I know I should have searched first but I freaked out because of the CEL.

Possibly a loose cap can cause a P1456.
MY02's can have a deformed fuel filler pipe that doesn't let the cap seal. It could also have another vapor leak between the fuel cap and the tank.
A Honda dealer can run a EVAP system function test and determine the issue at hand.
