P1399 Misfire in any cylender
Hi Everybody,
I haven't driven my s2k 2003 for a few months. When I turned the car on a few days ago, I got check engine light on. I connect OBD reader and it says P1399. Does anyone have any idea what can cause this issue?
Thanks

I ran into the nebulous P1399 last month myself, '01NFR with 184k on it. I got out of the car, left it running, got back in a few minutes later, and it was running like garbage and threw the P1399. Thankfully it also came with a P0301 - cylinder 1 misfire detected. The first thing I did, because I was fortunate enough to have extras, was swap out the coil pack. This eliminated my CELs and the car is back running like a top.

I have P0301 code. I'll order new coils, hope this is going to fix this issues. Privious owner who owned the car over 7 years. He has never done valve adjustment, I read the a post above, it seems also may cause P1399. But I drove the car for a few month, everything was working fine. I've replaced spark plugs (ngk) then I put the car in the garage for a month due to cold weather climate. Do you think there is something wrong with a spurk plug? Thank you.

Before ordering anything, since you're also getting the P0301, I'd swap the coil pack in cylinder one to cylinder two and see if the misfire code moves to a P0302. That will help confirm that it is a coil pack issue.
