P1259 CEL code at track
Just got back from Mont Tremblant with COMSCC. Good time, despite wet to inundated conditions for Tuesday's time trial!
Anyway, after my first ~20minute session on Tuesday (day 2 of event), I shut down the car in the pits as per usual. Next time I went to go out, I had a CEL, code P1259, which I believe is related to the VTEC pressure switch. The light was on before getting back on track, either came on immediately or while idling around the pits.
Reset the CEL and went back out, no problems on track. But then I got the code again the next time I started the car up.
Reset again, went out on track again with no probs, and this time popped the hood when I got back to the pits (it was suggested that it might be heat related).
This seemed to "cure" the problem.
So, does it sound like a bad pressure switch?
Oil level was full, and on-track performance was normal.
Idle and sub-6000rpm performance was likewise normal with the CEL on.

P1259 is a shitty code to throw. It just means VTEC malfunction.
Could be a lot of things -- lubrication related, the VTEC switch itself, ECU, etc. Lots of stuff makes VTEC function, and one or more of them is not in-spec.
I'd yank the VTEC solenoid and clean it out. Could've just accumulated some crap in it.
