P1106 Code Help
I have updated the title of this thread to reflect my problem. Here's the story
I get a CEL light for 2 logs: P1106 and P1106. I have checked my ESM wires over and over and they have SOLID connections. Comptech thinks I might have messed up my ecu during the numerous reconnections I did to the ESM box.
Do you think I need a new ecu?
Slow S2k- you posted about a scan tool. Where would I come up with one? Would this be something Honda had and could pinpoint my problem?
Finally, does this code error throw the car into "limp mode" I have noticed that it runs like complete crap after the light comes on.

P1106 is usually seen with a car using some type of piggyback fuel computor, because the piggyback is screwing with the MAP sensor signal. (VAFC, E-Manage) It's also seen with a Comptech ESM or any MAP clamp, with a faulty connection.
On stock cars it is rarely seen. The troubleshooting form the SM pretty much says if it recodes swap a known good PCM, as the BARO sensor is built inside the PCM.

Hmm.. The OBDII reader says Air/Fuel Meter Measurement Parameters or something along that line. The connections on my ESM are perfect. I fished the wiring harness to through the firewall and made all connections outside the car and had others inspect them. The odd thing is my esm box reads 2.93-2.94v which is beyond where it is supposed to cut off right?

Double check the connections on the ESM. are you using t-tap splices, solder or butt connectors. Etc?
2.93V is the spec from Comptech.

It's possible your BARO sensor readings may be lower than most due to the altitiude, and the MAP volts is going higher than the BARO. You'd need a OBDII scan tool to verify this.
MAP is used to verify correct BARO operation.

Connections are strong. Soldered and shrink wrapped. The only thing that could be off is I used wire extensions on the black and red but I used the same gauge wire and soldered them perfectly. The altitude I'm at probably isn't the case.
I have an OBDII scanner and it trips the CEL light once I get two P1106 codes. The actual thing it says is "AIR FUEL METERING"
