Hello everyone. well another issue has come up and hoping someone can help a frustrated S2K owner out!!
I got a CEL this morning. I carry a reader in the car and it read 172. The CEL popped up during the first 10 minutes of the drive. The car was cold. Start it up, drove maybe 5 minutes. Was at a stoplight when I looked down and saw the CEL light. It came on last Thursday as well but cleared it. After almost a week and about 300 miles, it came back this morning. I don't see it running rich when I connect my flashpro and see my A/F. Its running at 14.7 at idle.
The last thing I did to the car was cleaned the TB and installed a new air filter (cai injen). Car is an 07 AP2.
can the DBW system cause the car to run clean. I know the 06+ doesn't have IAC to clean.
Have already replaced primary O2, checked compression, and spark plugs. All were good.
From a little research, I'll take a look at the igniter and see if its gone bad. If one ignitor isnt firing, it would cause a rich condition? correct?
No other driving issue.
any help is very much appreciated. Thank you
