This morning when I turned the car on the CEL was off. But a freaking CEL wouldn't even detect bearings, so idk what im talking about. . Wouldn't a blown motor show some signs of damage? The oil didn't have any visible shavings of metal in it. Idk.. I guess i'm screwed I have no way of getting around. And I'm in this car 13k already. This was my graduation gift to myself.

Dumb question, but did you check your oil currently after all this? Is it filled? I'm wondering if you forgot to or check for the rubber o-ring for the oil filter and left it on there while installing the new filter which would leak out all your oil, perhaps maybe you didnt notice a leak or something which caused all these problems? Or like what most have said, the motor was ready to go already.

I took this video after the sound was more distinctive after my first oil change. I barley bought this car less than 3000 miles ago! When I bought the car I took it home from a 500 mile trip. I checked the oil after 200 miles and it was in in spec. Half way between the L and H. After I got back and about 700 miles later, I checked the oil again and it was almost at the Low mark. I filled it up with more oil, than 300 miles after that, I changed the oil. I noticed the popping noise after about 2 weeks of ownership and told myself "if it throws a light, ill go get it checked out. Maybe its normal" Than this noise came up. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't sound like a blown engine after researching on youtube. That noise does not follow, when I rev the engine up. The guy I bought it from was in a wheel chair... maybe he didn't maintain it well. I should of changed the oil right after I got it home. But i could see from the window sticker that the next oil change wasn't until 93,122 miles.

When I checked the oil, it was 2 diamonds from low. One diamond from the low mark, means that the car is 1quart low on oil. When I added oil the first time, it was about .7 of a quart. Maybe the engine isn't blown and its just something else.. like a pulley. I noticed that one of my pulleys made noise when I took the belt off. Or the valves. Or that I'm just in denial.

And this guy ran his very low.

And im positive the didn't get that low!

I originally took the car to the dealership for a valve adjustment and to change a few additional unrelated parts. The dealership held on to the car for two days. Since the CEL turned off, I took them the codes that I gathered from Autozone when the incident happened; and they said that those codes could be due to bad gas and the car's lack of maintenance. I will not get to pickup the car until tomorrow (I work), but they didn't say the car had any additional problems, pertaining to the hypothesis of a spun bearing, or blown motor.
