Alrighty. I've got an AEM EMS and I've got an AEM UEGO WBO2. Need more time to get the EMS tuned so I'm running the OEM ECU for now. The UEGO has a 0-1V output so that I can simulate the stock primary O2 sensor output to the ECU over pin C16. The problem is that I'm throwing a P0135 on the primary O2 heater circuit because, well, I don't have the stock primary O2 sensor running and the ECU can't heat it.

Any suggestions on closing the loop on the heater circuit to keep the CEL from tripping? My ESM has no wiring diagrams for which wire does what on the sensor, and (thank you Honda or whoever engineered the sensor wires) the OEM sensor has 4 wires, one black, one grey and two plain no stripe white ones.

I've got the plug for the original sensor so I was hoping to just build a loop in it and reconnect it to the ECU. My only other option at this point is to reconnect the OEM sensor and zip tie it up somewhere.

Engineer,

I would suggest measuring the resistance on each combination of the 4 wires. Since you are looking for the heater, it probably has the lowest resistance besides a short that would suggest common wires. I would disconnect the plug and sensor while testing.

I think your best bet will be to just use the OEM O2 until you get the EMS. Otherwise, you should just add another bung for the WBO2.

sorry to revive an old post but i would like to correct one thing which may mislead some people.

it's is incorrect to measure the resistance across the o2 zirconium electrode this will damage the sensor. one can only measure resistance across the heating element and it should be between 10-18 ohms on a working heating element.
