I reset it by using an OBD scanner. Why? Is that unusual?
No, just wondered if you reset it by disconnecting the battery. Same CEL P0135 error?
Is there a difference to resetting it by disconnecting the battery vs clearing it through the OBD port?

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure. I just assumed it was the same code since it popped up after driving it a while. I'll double check in the morning and update you. Thanks

Have you checked the air pump system, AKA "Pulsed secondary air injection system?"

When the car is idling, extra fuel is thrown into the mixture so that some exits the exhaust unburned. The air pump introduces oxygen and it burns in the exhaust pipe to keep the catalytic converter up to temperature. If the oxygen isn't there to burn, the unburned gas would make it out the tailpipe.

Odd though, the CEL disappeared today and I'm not sure if it could be a wiring issue or a short somewhere? After replacing the sensor I figured the issue was resolved so I drove it normally (aka VTEC galore!) but when it came on again I drove like a grandma and it disappeared. Not sure if there's something going on I'm not thinking of. But I'll definitely take a look at the air pump system later today. Thanks for the advice!
