My 02 sensor just went about 2 months ago and I have 28K miles on my 08 s2000. It was still under warranty, Honda replaced that and the cat since they said that was bad to. My car was completely stock during that time

Bumping an old thread.... Ive been trying like crazy to find the Mfgr that makes the Primary OEM o2 sensor and a replacement for it without paying $200 for a new one.
Is NTK the OEM mfgr?
Seems this is the OEM sensor , can anyone confirm?

Good link, but that is for the secondary post cat sensor, I need the Pre cat sensor.
This is a direct plug in replacement from a very reputable manufacturer. This is for an 03.

I would say this is normal and would happen without any particular reason other than regular wear.

There is actually a TSB for '06+ and they have a new design for the o2 sensor.

Yes, you can replace it easily yourself if you've ever done an oil change. It's similar.

I lost the rear O2 in my 2005 @ 61,000 miles due to the converter shifting internally and snapping the tip of the sensor clean off, it seems like more of a common thing that is going on later in life with these cars. Be sure your converter is in good condition and the first "puck" hasn't shifted or you'll just break the other sensor that was just put in and the CEL will come back on.
