Overheating

Default Overheating

I just rebuild the motor new Pistons gaskets everything and it shows that its overheating I did change the temperature sensor thermostat and still and it shows 220 just sitting there and if I move for a cruise it can go up to 240 idk what I could be please help thank u all

The car maybe low on coolant. Air trapped in engine has escape and lowered the coolant level.

I did flushed and still doing that I heard that u got calibrate the AEM ecu some like that

When I bought my S, with 17000 miles at the time, I had a full dealer service including a change of all fluids. I had driven it about 700 kilometres by then.

The dealer is 38 kilometres away, with some expressway, a little suburban & mostly good country road driving.


On the way home it was getting well over normal temperature, but not really hot. about 3/4 on the gauge, just enough to be a bit of a worry. At home I found it down on coolant, & was surprised to find it took only about 2/3 pint of coolant to fill it. The dealer had obviously not quite filled the system, probably due to a small air lock. This had cleared in the drive home.

With that it full it runs on perfect temperature & never varies. From this I'd say it doesn't need to be very much short of coolant for an S to overheat. I'd look for an air lock in yours.

If the heater does not blow hot hot air, then there is air in the system.
