Default Overheated now won't start!

I was on my way to Vegas when all off a sudden smoke comes out in front of the hood and check the the temp it was hot ass f@ck! All bars where on. Pulled over then let it cooled down and tried starting it now it won't turn over, it cranks and want to start but won't start all the way. Anyone ever had this problem or know what to do?

Looks like u lost compression by warping the head! How long was it on full bars?

I'm constantly checking my temp gauge especially when it's warm outside. How did you not notice it was full?

i'm assuming that at the moment you're on the side of the road with the hood popped and steam everywhere.

let the car cool down completely then try to start it again.

He cooled it down already! Most of the time if u overheat and it dont start it means somethin is warped.

I'm guessing few mins then turn on heater put in neutral then stop. Engine shut off on it's own. So am I going to have to resurface the head or just get a new one? How do I resolve this issue? Thanks guys!

you gotta do a compression and leak down test to see if the head is even warped first. then go from there.

at the very least you need to change the oil and spark plugs.

There are enough potential problems here that if you don't know already your best bet is to have a mechanic take a look and tell you what is broken.

if the engine shut off on its own that means serious damage has most likely occured

How can I get it to start? I've tried cranking it over but it just won't start.
