Default Overhaulin the Tranny

So I just bought my S with 78,000 miles on it. I have the infamous 2000 ap1 clutch buzz. I've heard some people installing aftermarket clutches and flywheels and still having the clutch buzz. I'd rather have an after market clutch with lightened flywheel but I want to completely eliminate the buzz. Regaurdless I need a new clutch. Aftermarket or OEM?

Also I have a grind between 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 3rd. I'm 23 and my dad's a master mech (diesel specialist) and I was thinking of taking out the tranny and replacing the synchros as well as certain gears. (synchro teeth dull which means gear teeth must be also?) How much are synchros? Obviously I need 3. Any suggestions?

Why not just pick up a used AP2 tranny with a stock clutch disk and a Mugen or Spoon pressure plate.

Synchro's are only sold with gear sets. Be prepared to spend about 1K in parts
