Yea i agree my friend is a real hot head and is hating himself right now, but he has had the slowest car in our group for the longest time and i guess wanted to actually feel some power, but felt it wayyy before he could handle it!! lol.
so we almost got the head off!! intake manifold looks like a b***h and we are just going to go the shortcut route and take it off with the head!! ill get back with yall once its off and tell yall what a shredded f20 looks like! lol
by the way he wants to get a complete head and he found this one at autozone (yes i know i laughed pretty hard when i heard it too lol)
but the brand is called surefire and its a complete head for like 500 bucks.
Have any of yall heard of this brand??
Buying a head from autozone is a good way to do the job again shortly.

How do you think a cheap rebuild is going to handle 9000 rpm?

Your friend sounds incapable of making good decisions, you may want to suggest a Corolla.

I still stand by my claim that the "My friend did this/that to his car" threads are actually 100% something that the OP actually did. When they need help with something, they fabricate how someone else did it to avoid some flaming.

Think about it. His "buddy" could have signed up in two seconds and asked this question just the same.

Kid sounds like a goof who has no respect for the car. Best of luck with the engine repairs.

You ever notice how all these over-rev threads involve "someone else" driving the car?

Lmao!! No I really don't own a s2k!! Sorry but I'm a v8 guy. I own a 07 Shelby/04 cobra And I actually know how to drive a manual. I'm just the guy that usually fixes his car when he breaks it. You know how there's always one of those friends that is willing to help work on ur car when ever you need it, well I'm that guy. Lol
Anyways I have the head off and there are definitely bent valves and some piston slap.
He is going to get the autozone head even though I tried to get him to rebuild it with better parts.
I'll upload pics tonight if y'all want to see what it looks like.

^oh man. he is going to learn on this one. do it right the first time is less of a headache than cheapo parts and having to keep rebuilding it which will cost a lot more money because it blowing up on him.

tell him to get on here so we can flame him.
