Default Output shaft play

I have a 2005 with 51,000 miles. For about 5000 miles or so I have been having vibration during acceleration which seems to be getting worse and also a click from the rear end when engaging my clutch from a stop and even going into second or third gear which has also been happening more often.... I have my car jacked up right now and I notice that the output shaft has about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch of play clockwise to counterclockwise when twisting it by hand before it engages. My question is... Is this normal???

I have also noticed that with about 50lbs of pressure I can move my motor significantly so maybe the motor mounts have something to do with the vibration.

Default

look up wheel bearing/axle nut torquing for your clicky symptom.
You're in neutral when the car is above, correct? that means the differential has some play in it, I dont know how much is "normal"
