Outer window trim removal?
I searched (here and google) but could not find my answer. How do you remove the outer window trim (black, on the top of the door)?
This is the peice i am replacing (6).

If you go buy the shop manual it turns out to be a major project, on my car I just lifted the old ones out and carefully slid in the new ones. There are plastic clips underneath the parts, some of the clips may break upon removal but you can pick them out of the door cavity with an extended pick-up tool. Then just slide in the new parts and snap in place. The clips on the new parts need to be spaced to fit the indents in the metal door frame. I did both of mine this summer.

Lower window
open door, on the trimming in the inside is a little L shaped strap with a plastic pin, pull it out, then gently pull with 2 hands the trimming straight up
PS, order some new white clips *hint

The new parts that I ordered came with new clips on them, the old ones seem to break upon removal, hence the need to pick up the loose parts with an extended pick up tool.
When I first looked at the instructions in the shop manual I was ready to give up on the project as it looked like a major PITA. But I took a short cut and just pulled up the old ones, and wiggled the new ones in place gently. Just be careful not to bend them too much and it will be fine. You need to loosen the door cards in order to get to a couple screws but that isn't too hard at all. Take your time and go slow and gently insert the new ones in place. You can manipulate the upper black triangular trim piece (can't remember the name of it) a bit to allow you more access room. HTH.
