Default Ordered my Comptech ESM Today

ordered my ems today from comptech. hopefully it will clear up my car running rich. Hopefully install will be easy and of course the results are good.

How does the esm control your richness? I thought it only clamps the voltage signal of the map sensor to the ecu

yeah, it's simple to install, but I dont think it controls your a/f ratios. It just prevents ecu from seeing boost as I understand

well that is the code that keeps coming up that my map sensor is not working properly. called comptech and they said it will fix the problem with the map sensor.

Be sure to you crimp the wires properly. A bad crimping job will give you a rich mixture and can set a MAP code. This happen to me because the I did not crimp the signal wire properly.

The very early versions of the SC did not have the ESM.
