I went through 2 yellow tops in 27 months (f*ck optima). I had better luck when I switched to the "gold" batteries they sell at Auto Zone. I switched to an Odyssey PC925 a year ago (relocated to trunk)...no issues so far (and I'm running 2 big amps).

Guys:
I think what Teanz is looking for is a different size Optima Yellow Top that will still fit her S2K but be a different build since the type 51 Optima Yellow Tops have been SHIT. Am I correct Teanza?
Here are the Optima Yellow Top specs for the various sizes, Teanz. You might have to do some measuring or, maybe one of the young fellas in here already knows:

As you dont drive your car in the winter id suggest a Deka EXT16. If you are looking for something completely different and lightweight

When I leave my S for more than about a week, I connect it to a BatteryMinder maintenance charger. Not only does it keep the battery charged, but it also desulphates the battery. I know this can sound like hokum, but in my experience, it significantly extends the life of the battery. I have also used it on several 12v "project" batteries (deep cycle) and at least one was recovered from near death.
