Opinions wanted about Jet Hot coating
What are your opinions about jet hot coating headers? I'm going to be receiving headers soon and have been contemplating Jet Hot coating them. For those who have done this to their headers is it worth it?
I'm more inclined to to do this if it increases the longevity of the header.

it does help with the heat but the coating does wear out. My exhaust has allready been recoated once after 5k miles, spugen started to rust again. My Toda header lost it's shiny luster but is still there and looks decent. The dulling of the header has not affected the heat levels, that i've noticed at least.
It looked great at first but I don't think I would do it a second time around

Had HPC (www.hpcoatings.com) do my turbo manifold and the exhaust housing of the turbo for my old Integra. It looked great and had all the heat qualities that we are looking for. I am kind of biased though because they are local and really cool guys. Turn-around time was extremely short as well. They really like their job so

I noticed when I got mine back that it smoothed the surface texture of the internal pipe as well as the observable weld joints...smoother flow. Definitely helps with the underhood heat even tho I removed the heatshields and after 15k of hard driving, including 7 midweek track events, holds up quite well.

I had hundreds of heat cycles, especially on the extremely hot turbo exhaust housing and there was no sign of flaking. Maybe Jet Hot just sucks. The treatment is not just a coat of paint. They actually sandblast the part and then bond the coating with the metal itself.
