Thanks for the tip with the trunk springs. I'll definitely check that out.

I tried a pry bar first and noticed that the suspension bits were quite flexible if not pushed in a way similar to the default loading. That surprised me a bit so I decided to come up with something that would pull or push very near the hub or shock mount location. I couldn't seem to find a pry bar location that was good enough. If you can remember how you did it, let us know!

At 120 lbs it must be nice to not have to try to take as much weight out of the car for racing as some guys.

Nice solution. After 2 sets of coilovers I wish I would have seen this 2 years ago.

Brilliant. I had a hell of a time getting those buggers back in.

As for the clunking noise, check out the sway bar. If you loosened it, there is a method to retightening it specified in the Helms manual. It says to tighten to specified torque (32lbs. upper bolt and 22lbs. lower bolt), drive it for 5 minutes and then retighten.

Cool. Thanks for the tip on the sway bar. I missed that procedure in the manual!

No problem. If you did what I did, it makes a hella ugly noise until you torgue it to spec.

Oh yeah, this has always been a hot chit-chat topic around me when it comes to racing and weight reduction.
