You said only the button worked to unlock the trunk, but Honda said they could do it by damaging the lock cylinder so Im guessing you meant key and button on the fob/transponder can unlock it.

If thats the case, call a locksmith for like 30 bucks, they'll come to you, have them open the trunk, grab your keys, and call it a day.

Honda should be able to cut you a "dummy" key that will just open the doors for 10 bucks, they might require the registration though.

The gaps behind that panel are small and you can't really see through them with the trunk closed. You'd be fishing blind. Call a locksmith.

GL trying to get your key out of the trunk. Just curious as to why you don't have the other 2 spares?

Hopefully you've learned your lesson. Just do what I do:
Spare car key in the house.
Spare house key in the car.

Makes sense right?

>Keeps spare key in wallet<

My car is actually set up so that when the keys are in the ignition, you cant lock the doors. However, i unhooked the door open sensor so that screwed it up. Threw key in wallet, problem solved.

I NEVER leave my car without my wallet, so it has saved me atleast 10 times this year.

take all the panels off from inside the car, get a long magnetic pick up tool from sears, and start fishing

(patients v. patience)
