You are not experiencing the CDV.
You are experiencing the 22lb flywheel and its ability to hold the RPM high.
The CDV is not there to protect the car. It is there to allow the flywheel the time it needs to decelerate, and removing the CDV will make your condition worse.
All you need to do is adjust your shift/throttle/clutch timing and you will be fine.
Ask anyone who has driven both cars.
