Is this the only fluid that Honda provides?
What should my old fluid look like?
That is the correct fluid and Honda only makes one MTF2 fluid. The weight of Honda MTF2 is somewhere between a 20 weight and 30 weight oil viscosity equivalent. You old fluid will come out very clean, it will have some metal wear particles floating around in the fluid - metal flake. Honda MTF2 is a good fluid.

Change the fluid with confidence....slipping issue is automatic trans related.

Do a search for trans fluid...legions of threads on it (only a sampling here). Can't go wrong with Honda Fluids.

I did a search and also went shopping but I can't find amsoil and or any other brand that i felt comfortable using. So I'm going to Honda first thing tomorrow morning to get some fluids. I may do the diff also since the car will be up anyways and will be using Mobil1 synth gear oil. Should I do a flush if the diff fluid has not been changed out?

I went with the Amsoil since I wasnt happy with how my transmission behaved with the Honda mtf2. Supposedly their 5w-30 transmission fluid is the same/better than the honda fluid, and it wouldnt hurt anything to try something new.

When I first got my car (used) I just drained the old fluid out and put the new fluid in.

It sounds far too long to me, I think it's time to change it. Most people find the tranny getting notchy after 8-10k miles on the fluid. I dump mine once a year regardless of mileage which is overkill but it's cheap maintenance.

Diff should be changed every 30,000 miles. Or 15,000 under severe use, e.g., regular track day, autocross, or launched.

Go with the severe service interval on the diff, 15K miles. Change it now while you're doing the tranny fluid.

Changing the tranny fluid and the diff fluid is some of the least expensive maintenance you can do on these cars, even less cost than an oil change. I find it easy to do the tranny fluid and diff fluid at the same time, so go with equal intervals for both units, say 10k-15k miles.

I usually do a ratio of 2:1 oil to tranny/diff changes. Since I track my car heavily it ends up being oil every 2.5k miles and tranny/diff fluid every 5k miles
