Default Ok so I messed up tonight.

Ok so like a dumbass i was showing off in the S tonight. I was in an unfamiliar area and was making a left hand turn from a stop. I get into it when the light turns green, through vtec, shift into second in mid corner to kick the back end out a little, but right as i made my shift there was a dip in the road. The back end rotated immeadiatly. I had a full opposite lock counter steer but couldnt straighten it out. i slid backwars into a median, but not hitting it to terribly hard. The car didnt stall and i drove away from it back to my freinds house and all the suspension and everything seemed fine. But now the question. I realized that when i go from 2nd gear to nuetral and let out the clutch, there is a latching type sound. Like some sort of metal clicks or disengages. Its fairly loud, but i cant really tell if its comming from the rear of the car, or the front. I was in second gear when i hit the curb, and second gear is the only gear it makes the click in. What did i expletive up guys!!!! Please any info is great. Thanks.

Put your car on a jack, and inspect your wheels, diff and drive shaft... It might also be an engine mounting...

Good Luck

as people have suggested. you need to take it to someplace and have it inspected, particularly on a lift. there are too many things that could be making noise after the incident you described, and it is likely that no one on here can even "diagnose" the issue without looking at the car.

Which part of the car hit the median? The tires, or the bumper, or what?

I did the same thing the second day I had the car... Except I was at a deserted intersection out in BFE. Overcorrected and spun 180*, slid about 3 feet off the road into some grass. You really really have to respect these things, or they'll bite you in the ass in about two seconds. Be careful out there. Check into some advanced driving schools / classes as well.

Is it possible the noise was there before and you're just listening harder now? I could've sworn I heard all kinds of weird crap after I spun mine around-- and I didn't hit anything. Went over it very carefully and everything was as it should be.
