hold on, why does it cost 20 bucks for synthetic oil? i have paid a LOT more than that.

I highly doubt anything will happen to your motor. I believe 15w 50 (it was red right?) Is used for high horsepower cars, turbo cars, etc... I've used it twice, once just cause, and once for a track day. I'm in SoCal just like you and I park in the garage sho I've never experienced freezing cold temperatures that might cause damage on start up.
