INDY, What did you find in the UOAs? Are the UOAs available here or over on BITOG?

I've got some GC sitting on the shelves and I've been thinking about throwing it in the S2k the next time it comes due.

Highly doubt you'll find anyplace cheaper than the website. You can buy a membership for $20 and get a discount on the oil, but rather it's worth it or not depends on how much oil you'll buy in a year.

If you want to switch to Amsoil with you high mileage then you will probably want to run their high mileage prep kit. I don't know exactly what it does, but I know if you are over something like 36k and you want to start using amsoil there is a additive you are supposed to cycle through the engine and then drain and replace your oil. Otherwise I think you are likely to burn more oil.
Can anyone inform me on what additive it is that I should purchase from amsoil for the prep kit? I usually just use Motor Gunk Flush from autozone or parts store.
I'm still a little confused about what oil weight should I get for my engine since its high mileage. Can anyone enlighten me?

I know they sell a tranny and engine flush call and ask what makes you think you need it. Go to there site and read search for engine or tranny flush.

You should use a 30 wt oil and if you want what is considered one of the best if not the best 30wt oil Amsoil 10/30wt ATM.

Read your owners manual in regards to oil additives.

I just realized I said my RP had 4 months and 2500mi on it. I meant 5 months and 4500. Its about to hit 5000 though and I'll be sending it in to the lab.

A owners manual didn't come with the car when I purchased it. I'd like to see results from the testing done with RP. A follow through with us would be great. Oh Thanks Brian for the PM, that really help me understand that and I probably wasn't seaching in the right place on the site.

I've been using Mobil 1 EP with great results and just switched to Penzoil Platium. Both are cheaper that RP and do a great job.

heres what the owners manual says in regards to additives:

Additives
Your Honda does not need any oil
additives. Purchasing additives for
the engine or transmission will not
increase your car’s performance or
longevity. It only increases the cost
of operating your car.

I have LE 8130 in it now (first fill) and will test it after the second fill is done (06/2012).
