I'd never use Royal Purple oil. Mobil 1 sucks too imo.
I have had great experiences with Amsoil, Castrol syntec and valvoline synthetic as well.

I would also say I'm not a fan of Mobil 1 and I have heard more than a few stories from S2000 owners decrying it. I don't think its a good match for the S2000's engine.

Hmmm... very interesting thoughts and opinions. What would be a good match for the s2000's engine would you say Saki GT? Not trying to insult your opinion but just want to know your take on this and everyone else is welcome to chime in also. AP1 goes 9,000 rpm and AP2 8,600? RPM redline. What would with stand this punishment? Not saying you will redline everytime but in case you fill the need to in such conditions.

Ive had no complaints about RP. 4 months, 2500 miles, it still looks new. I have a few blackstone labs test vials that im going to send it for testing at 5000 miles, maybe 3000 if i get impatient.

I just ordered more RP for the engine, and redline for my trans and diff. Ill send in the trans and diff samples to blackstone at their next intervals.

I just read a forum about some s2k owners using Amsoil also and the feed back seemed great. I'm leaning towards Amsoil 5w30 with a filter too. I am not sure though which oil to buy, is it extended life or just regular full syn? also where would be a good place to order for a better price.

I use Amsoil Signature Series 0w-30 with an Amsoil filter and i love it. First time i switched to amsoil from the crap that was in it when i bought the car i was amazed just how much better it ran and idled. And my valvetrain is more quiet on startup with the 0w. I paid the 20 bucks on Amsoils website to be a preferred customer so it is about 7 bucks a quart. Plus i am fairly close to the warehouse so it only takes a day to get it

I use pennzoil platinum. It's always on sale and UOA's prove it's a GREAT oil.
Switching to this oil on my next change.

Big no no on the RP, they put some food coloring in a diluted mid grade synthetic oil and call it the best stuff on the block.

When you buy RP most of the ridiculous mark up is to account for their marketing dept spending advertizing how great it i.s

Stick with Amsoil/redline

Use the oil you have confidence in . If it is RP, no reason to change brands now. Isn't RP a modern formulation like the Synthetics?
