Oil reset will not clear

2008 s2k

i did the whole put key in lock position, hold down trip, and turn to II but the service light will not clear. what the dilly o?

i think you hold it down before i forgot, ive only changed my oil once

you have to hold it for 10 seconds until it starts flashing

i did. i held it for 2 mins and still nothing. it doesnt say oil life it just says - 300. the number keeps getting higher

hmm i figured it out. you have to turn it to II then press the trip button for 10 seconds, when it starts flashing you let go of it and press it again for 5 seconds then it will reset....
