Default OIL IN RAD.....

has anyone else had this problem?? this the second time that this has happen to me, I thought i had solved the problem the first time by bypassing the stock oil cooler. and it worked for a while but i was outside changing the header and just goin over the car before atlanta this week and took the cap off and it looked like dark milk.


any ideas.

Not good. I had this problem on a vehicle before and it turned out that one of the freeze plugs in the head had a pin hole in it, but that was a old engine. Chances are it's a bad head gasket.

Rene,

do a leakdown test. Pull the rad cap when you do the leakdown test and see if anything happens when the cylinder is pressurized. Go one by one and check as the leak might be on any of the 4.

That way you can make sure whether it is a headgasket leak or the leak is elsewhere.

Pop off your oil cap and look at the underside of it. If it looks like milk chocolate it is definately a headgasket or related item.
