Hey guys
From reading the FAQ's and some posts i found out that 10w30 is the standard oil for the s2000.
However, i checked my bill from the official honda garage i got for changing the oil and it reads "motor oil 0w30 - HU0W30"
I wanted to refill it up today but now i'm confused.
thanks!

In your region this time of the year you are better off running 0w-30. If the oil level is low right now fill it up asap using the other oil that you have. Don't risk engine damage caused by low oil levels. Buy some spare top-up oil from the dealer so you can use the same oil for future topping up as the oil gets consumed.

All of my 5 cars listed below have used Amsoil since 1st Oil Change....a combined total of 457k miles AND 50 years of combined service.
03S2k,02Z06 & 96GST use 0w30 while the 02CRV and 13EXV use 0w20.

Read this:

Lots of folks use 0w-30, myself included. Less wear on start and once it warms to temp, all 30 oil is the same viscosity.

The standard oil for the S2000 IS a 30 weight... and that IS what the dealer used.
As a test you could ask them about the difference between what they used and what the manual suggests.
If they have any oil knowledge they will give you a simular answer.
If they start explaining about start-up viscosity you know you're talking to someone that actually understands oil.
If they answer "Well.. we use this in all the Honda's we service" you should think twice about going there for a diff oil change.

The more you know about motor oils, the more you'll realize that 0W-30 is better for your engine than 10W-30. I have 302,000 miles on my '03 S2K and all but the first few thousand miles were with Amsoil 0W-30.
