so then I'm prolly gonna have to fully re-build the bottom end. Whats cheaper, rebuilding the bottom end or buying a new long block?
i would buy a new long block

Ya, you could buy a new block but maybe you should hook up an oil pressure gauge and find out exactly what the pressure is?

Maybe it's the crappy speakers on my work laptop, but that engine sounds like a can of nuts and bolts being shaken. I'd hesitate to call that "purring".
I think its your speakers man lol and I think I need to re-adjust my valves again too but its quiet as can be man till you rev it and the valves tick, but thats it. Ok maybe I over exaggerated a little bit about the purring but it definitely sounds bettter that it did.

so then what if I did do that and the pressure was within spec? you think its a wiring problem or faulty pressure swtich? but idk because my oil pan had a sh*t ton of metal shaving in it, no chunks or shards thank God. Oh yah did I mention there was a piece of thin plastic BS in my oil pick up? looked like that piece of paper you get when you crack the cookie in half but plastic.

buy a cheap oil pressure gauge, autometer or something and hook it up. shouldn't take more then 20 minutes to do. start her up and see where its floating at. What kind of oil are you using? It did kinda sound like poop in the vid.

I was looking at some prosport gauges there inexpensive and look like a good quality part. But don't I need like a sandwhich plate in between the oil filter for the sending unit to the gauge or what? or can I just hook a wire from the gauge to the stock sending unit? guessing there's an input wire and a power wire. And I'm using Royal Purple 10W-30 w/ a Fram Tough Guard filter. Yah I think I need to adjust my valves.

sorry to burst your bubble man but your car doesn't sound all that healthy. Best bet is find out what's causing the low oil pressure. Either rebuild or new block.

No, dont hook to the oem oil sending unit. You need a reading completely free of anything that could be causing false reading. Get a sandwich adapter or put a Tee into the block where the oem one is.
