oil pressure guage leak

Default oil pressure guage leak

the guy who had the car before me installed an oil pressure guage and now i check it and its leaking where it connects to the engine....i just want to take the dam thing out but im not sure what plugs into that hole in the engine where the guage used to be connected. any help or pictures would be great. thanks in advance.

Post a picture of what you are talking about. I am unsure where you are connecting to the motor to answer your question. So if you can answer my question, I can answer yours.

you can see the clear line and where it connects to the block...once i turn the car on it starts to build up under there and eventually start dripping...

The OEM thread size is 1/8" BSPT for that hole. If you want to remove it and restore the factory Oil Pressure Switch, I will sell you one cheap, really cheap. 1.00 + shipping.

you could just put sealants or teflon tape on the thread and thread it back in. That will stop the oil dripping.

franky...maybe it's not leaking from the threads, but from the fitting.

well i put teflon tape on it and just made sure that it was nice and tight and it doesnt leak anymore...now theres another problem lol...i have a small leak that somehow is accumulating and getting under the fuel filter...any help?

Where is the fuel filter? My 2006 does not have one besides the pump sock. I was sure the same was for all S2000s.

excuse me i meant the OIL filter not the fuel filter...

Oh ok.

I would start by cleaning that side of the engine. Use some foam degreaser and wash it. The I would change that oil filter to an original Honda filter. Once you do that it will be easier to pinpoint the leak.

It could be from the oring between the oil cooler and the block, but I doubt it. The oil cooler is the donut that sits between the oil filter and the block.
