Default Oil Pan Question, Please Help

Does anyone know if the S2000's engine needs to be removed to drop the oilpan? I'm about to trade a pretapped oilpan, and the shop that is going to do it, needs to know this to quote me a price. Thanks for the help.

No, it come out from under the car, You do have to remove/loosen the A/C compressor bracket.

All you have to do is remove 2 bolts that attach the compressor to the compressor bracket, the bracket itself should not be loosened. Also, you'll need to remove the factory front sub-frame cross-brace (2 nuts and 4 bolts), and about a gazillion little bolts holding the oil pan to the block. Note that most of the oil pan bolts are the same size, but several are special and will only fit in certain locations. It's pretty obvious how they are arranged, though.
