oil pan installation

Update: ok well i added like 5-6 quarts of oil.. toped off perfectly.. i dont see any leaks.. engine feels normal.. i dobule checked all TQ measures and they are fine.. i re-installed everyting and drove it to school and back.. car seems to be in good shape.
a quick question though..
there are Two little cycliner thingies (on opposite ends) on the oil pan that came off.. one was stuck on bottom of block, other one came off on the oil pan.. i switched it to the new oil pan.. curious to know what is this?

So I'm guessing if I broke one of the bolts, was using a torque wrench (but guess didn't clean the bolt enough or something bc it kept spinning), then pan has to come back off?
Guess I'll find out in a few hrs when i pour oil in at the 24hr mark

Whenever you take off the pan use a straight edge and make sure the mounting surfaces are flat, place the straight edge on the mating surface and shine a light behind it, it will show you any areas that aren't flat.
